One of Reading FC star players has been linked with a summer transfer move to Championship side Wrexham AFC.

Wrexham, backed by their Hollywood owners, will have plenty of cash to spend this summer having won promotion to the Championship, and have been linked with a move for midfielder Charlie Savage.

Reading legend Phil Parkinson helped Wrexham to win their third successive promotion as they took 2nd spot in League One with 92 points.

Savage enjoyed an excellent second season with the Royals having shown his potential during his first campaign with the club the previous season.

The 22-year-old played in 45 of Reading’s 46 league matches and scored five times and claimed nine assists as the Royals finished just one place outside the play-off places.

However, despite recent links to Wrexham, Savage did reassure Reading fans after the final game of the season.
