A CHARITY tackling homelessness in Reading is set to hold its inaugural summer solstice event this June to raise funds and promote wellness.
Launchpad has announced it will be hosting a Summer Solstice Swim at Dinton Pastures Activity Centre to celebrate the longest day of the year with fundraising and activities.
The event will begin with welcome drinks, guided meditation, and a sound bath, before a mindful swim as the sunsets.
There will also be a portable sauna on site to warm up after the swim, and a prize raffle taking place.
All proceeds from the evening will support Launchpad’s work supporting those facing homelessness in Reading.
Fundraising Manager Fiona Keyte said: “We’re so excited to be planning this event which will bring the community together for an evening of mindfulness and relaxation.
“Launchpad are passionate about the mental well-being of our clients and so this evening feels like a great fit – and a great way to raise vital funds.”
The Launchpad Summer Solstice Swim takes place at Dinton Pastures from 8pm on Saturday, June 21.
