A Woodley window business is branching out into the world of home aquariums.
Mark Ashwell. CEO of Trademark Windows, has revealed that his company has applied to the UK Patent Office to trademark what he has described as a world first innovation in the double glazing industry.
Speaking exclusively to Wokingham Today, Mark said the idea is the brainchild of one of his fitters, Joe King, who is also a tropical fish enthusiast.
He told Wokingham Today: “The space between a double-glazed window or door appears to be the perfect environment for keeping tropical fishes.
“We have created a few prototypes in our Woodley showroom, and our fishes appear to be thriving.”
A spokesperson for the Fishes Occupying Obvious Locations organisation confirmed it was supportive of the idea.
Trademark Windows was established in 1989 and serves customers across the south of England.
Thank you to everyone who took time to read our “story” about Trademark Windows’ plans to create an aquarium in the gap between double glazing windows.
We hope you enjoyed it.
Given the date, I hope you’ll forgive us.
Thanks to Mark Ashwell at Trademark Windows for the idea.
