SIXTY-FIVE years after the original set, a recreation of one of rock n roll’s biggest events is to come to Sonning this weekend.

The Mill is hosting The Winter Dance Party Tour, featuring music from Buddy Holly and the Crickets, The Big Bopper, Dion and the Belmonts and Ritchie Valens.

The set list will include Chantilly Lace, White Lightning, La Bamba, Come On Let’s Go, The Wanderer, Teenager in Love, True Love Ways, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore and a host of others.

They will all be performed by a live band in authentic 50s attire with no backing tracks.

Dinner is served from 6.15pm, with the performance from 8.15pm on Sunday, January 7.

Tickets, which include the meal, are £61.
