POLICE have issued a warning after cars were broken into across East Reading last week.
The incidents happened in Green Road, Hamilton Road and St Peter’s Road, and the thieves stole unspecified items from the cars.
They want to remind residents to check they have locked their vehicle when exiting them and also remove any items on show, especially Christmas presents.
With cold weather, police urge people not to leave cars unattended when defrosting them, especially if the engine is on and the keys are not being watched.
They also warn that keyless car thefts are on the increase, and urge the use of signal-blocking Faraday pouches or similar.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, including those with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that could help their investigation.
Anyone with information can call 101.
