THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery and assault in Reading.
The incident took place between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday, February 18, near to the Tesco on Portman Road.
Two offenders tried to rob the victim, a man in his twenties, before assaulting him.
Both offenders are described as male, mixed race and aged around their late teens, and were wearing black hooded tops, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.
One was around 5ft 5ins tall and the other was around 5ft 8ins tall, with black hair braided across the back of his head.
The victim suffered injuries, which were treated at hospital, but has since been discharged.
Investigating officer, PC Michael Hope based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to please come forward.
“Also anyone with CCTV cameras in the area or anyone with a dash-cam who was driving in the area at the time of the incident should check their recordings in case they have captured anything which could help our investigation. You can upload footage to our dedicated online portal.
