REinspired, is a local ‘home grown’ charity, based at St Nicolas Church, Earley.
For more than 25 years we have been supporting our local primary and secondary schools with the Christianity element of the RE syllabus.
Teachers love the way our volunteers relate to the children in sessions and how we use storytelling, drama, discussion and craft, to share what Christians believe as part of their RE learning. Sessions are engaging, immersive, creative and thought provoking. If you are interested to discover more about what we do and how it works, please visit our website – REinspired
REinspired’s mission for our area, is to engage with every child, every year, every school. Our team leaders work with schoolteachers to identify the topics or theological questions they feel they need help with or where REinspired can add the most value to what they are already teaching.
Our sessions range from Noah and Lost Sheep for Foundation pupils, to Pilgrimage for Year 4 and Big Questions for Year 6, to Evil and Suffering for Year 12. See a small selection on our website – https://www.reinspired.org.uk/.
The teachers said of a recent Yr4 Moses session, “it was amazing; there was information included that we hadn’t come across before. All the children were engaged and really enjoyed the session. And it linked to our RE lesson the day before.”
REinspired is active not just in Earley and East Reading, our home hub, but in other parts of the UK too.
We would welcome new volunteers. If you’d like to join this expanding adventure, then our website https://www.reinspired.org.uk/, is a good place to start.
